Özet
ÖZET Bu araştırma, Fen Bilgisi Öğretim Programını uygulayan öğretmenlerin programın amaçlarına, içeriğine, öğretme-öğrenme etkinliklerine ve değerlendirmeye ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemek; öğretmenlerin Fen Bilgisi Öğretim Programının öğelerine ilişkin görüşlerinin cinsiyet, meslekteki hizmet süresi ve en son bitirdikleri okul değişkenlerine göre dağılımlarını ortaya koymak; ilköğretim Fen Bilgisi dersini alan öğrencilerin Fen Bilgisi Öğretim Programı ile ilgili görüş ve önerilerini belirlemek; Fen Bilgisi dersini alan öğrencilerin Fen Bilgisi dersine yönelik görüşlerinin sınıf düzeyi, okul türü, cinsiyet ve sosyo-ekonomik düzey değişkenlerine göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını ortaya koymak amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada iki farklı kaynaktan bilgi toplanmıştır. Birinci veri kaynağını sınıf öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Fen Bilgisi Öğretim Programı ile ilgili görüşlerini almak üzere yedi okulun 4 ve 5. sınıflarında görev yapan toplam 17 öğretmenden bilgi alınmıştır. İkinci veri kaynağını, 4 ve 5. sınıfa devam eden öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Öğrenciler, farklı sosyo-ekonomik düzeylerin özelliklerini sergileyen yedi ilköğretim okulunun 4 ve 5. sınıflarından seçilmiş ve toplam 489 kişiye ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, İlköğretim Fen Bilgisi 4. ve 5. sınıf Programının uygulanmasında öğretmen ve öğrencilerin birçok sorunla karşı karşıya olduğu görülmüş, bazı konuların öğrencilerin seviyesine uygun olmadığı, konuların işlenmesi için ayrılan sürenin yetersiz olduğu, öğretmenlerin programın uygulanması konusunda hizmet içi eğitime ihtiyaç duydukları ve Fen Bilgisi Öğretim Programı ile ilgili olarak 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. sınıfları sistematik bir bütün halinde ele alan kapsamlı araştırmaların yapılması gerektiği tespit edilmiştir. m

ABSTRACT The aims of this research were; identify the concepts of the teachers who applied for the science teaching programme in their classrooms, relating to the content, aims, teaching and learning activities, and evalvation of this programme, achive our goals, to arrange a disemmanation of the considerations of the teachers relating to the elements of the science teaching programme on changes such as; sex, the time period ot their employment as teachers, and the previous school which they gradvated from. Identify the concepts and suggestions put forward by the primary education students who have been taking science lessons related to the science teaching programme. Identify as to whether the concepts of the students who have been taking science lesson, change according to the level of the class, sex, their social- economic level and the type of their school. In this research, informations was collected from two sources. The first one is from the class teachers. Information was gathered from 17 teachers of the 4th and 5th classes of seven various schools. The students were selected from the 4th and 5th classes of seven primary schools which present different social-economic levels and was reached to a total of 489 people. As a result of this research in activating the Primary Educations 4th and 5th grade science programme, it was seen that both students and teachers were faced whit many problems. It was found that the levels of same of the subjects were considerably high for the students, the time was short for teaching the subjects, vocational training of the teachers was necessary for the realization of the programme and it was also hecessary to make a systematic large- scale research related with the science teaching programme of the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th year classes.
