ÖZET İLKÖĞRETİM 6. SINIF ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN FEN VE TEKNOLOJİ DERSİNE KARŞI OLUMLU TUTUM GELİŞTİRMELERİNDE VE SINAV KAYGISININ GİDERİLMESİNDE PORTFOLYO TEKNİĞİNİN ETKİSİ İNCE, Elvan Yüksek Lisans, Fen Bilgisi Eğitimi Ana Bilim Dalı Tez Danışmanı: Yrd. Doç. Dr. Havva Demirelli Mayıs- 2007 Bu çalışmanın amacı ilköğretim 6.sınıf Fen ve Teknoloji dersinde portfolyo tekniğinin, öğrencilerin tutumuna ve sınav kaygılarının giderilmesine etkisini araştırmaktır. Araştırma Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı Ankara ili Çankaya ilçesi Hamdullah Suphi İlköğretim Okulu'nda öğrenim gören ve 6.sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşan iki farklı sınıfa araştırmacı tarafından uygulanmıştır. Bu sınıflardan birine konular portfolyo tekniği ile verilirken diğerine geleneksel öğretim yöntemiyle verilmiştir. Çalışmada yarı deneysel ön test son test kontrol grubu deseni uygulanmıştır. Uygulamadan önce her iki sınıfa tutum ölçeği ve sınav kaygısı ölçeği ön test olarak verilmiş, uygulamadan sonra ise aynı testler son test olarak uygulanmıştır. Toplanan verilerin istatistiksel olarak çözümlenmesinde SPSS paket programından yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmanın hipotezlerini test etmek için de bağımlı t testi, ve ANOVA kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analiz sonuçları, portfolyo tekniği ile öğrenim gören deney grubu öğrencilerin tutumlarının geleneksel öğretim yöntemiyle öğrenim gören kontrol grubu öğrencilerine göre anlamlı derecede yüksek olduğunu göstermiştir. Aynı zamanda sonuçlar, portfolyo tekniği kullanılan deney grubu öğrencilerinin geleneksel öğretim yöntemi kullanılan kontrol grubu öğrencilerine göre sınav kaygılarının giderildiğini göstermiştir.

ABSTRACT THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PORTFOLIO TECHNIQUE ON THE STUDENTS? POSITIVE ATTITUDE IN SIXTH GRADE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY LESSON IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of the portfolio tecnique on students? positive attitude, ceased exam anxiety in sixth grade science and technology lesson in elementary school. This study is implemented on two different clases of 6th grade students in Ankara city Çankaya Hamdullah Suphi Primary School by rsearcher. In one of the this classes, subjects were given portfolio tecnique, while in other class subjects were given traditional teaching methods. Quasi ? experimental pre- test/post-test control group design was applied in this study. Before the research application attitude scale and exam anxiety scale were given as pre test to both classes and after the application same tests were applied as a post test. SPSS program was used in the statistical analysis of data collected. Paired sample test, and ANOVA was used to test study?s hypothesis. The results analysis of data showed that experimental group who were taught with the portfolio tecnique had a significantly higher scores with respect to attitude related to science and technology lesson than kontrol group who were taught traditional teaching methods. In addition the results showed that, experimental group students who were used with the portfolio tecnique exam anxiety was ceased with respect to kontrol group who were used traditional teaching methods.
