SUMMARY Communication is a key ingredient in high-performing organisations. Organisation must be purposeful. It should enable managers to manage, leaders to lead and organisations to be integrated. Communication is not substitute for management, leadership or organisation, but the means by which these capabilities are exercised. In its broadest sense, the purpose of communication in an enterprise is to effect change to influence action toward the welfare of the enterprise. Communication is essential for the internal functioning of enterprises because it integrates the managerial functions. Especially, communication is needed to: (1) Establish and disseminate goals of an enterprise, (2) Develop plans for their achievement, (3) Organise human and other resources in the most effective and efficient way, (4) Select, develop, and appraise members of the organisation (5) Lead, direct, motivate, and create acclimate in which people want to contribute, and ( 6 ) Control performance. Performance is the result of the extend to which" human energy is focused specialists' efforts are integrated, a healthy community is sustained and intelligent decisions taken. These are four purposes which are the basis for the theory of organisational communication. These four purposes are: 1. Communication for sustaining a healthy community 2. Communication for making intelligent decision 3. Communication for integrating the effort 4. Communication for sharing the compelling visionEffective communication is the responsibility of all pp.rsons in the organisation, managers as well as nonmanagers, who work toward a common aim. Whether communication is effective can be evaluated by the intended results. The following guidelines can help to overcome Lhe barriers Lo commuiiicalion. Senders of messages must clarify in their minds what they want to communicate. Consider the needs of the receivers of the information. Effective communicating is the responsibility not only of the sender but also of the receiver of the information. Communication that in the army include the same thing. But there is an important thing in the army communication. HUMAN LIFE. The second sec Lion includes a brief look at to the modern telecommunication technologies and their applications in military.
