Özet
Çocuk aile için hem neşe ve mutluluk kaynağı hem de yeni umutlar ve hayaller anlamına gelmektedir. Çocuğun dünyaya gelişi aile içinde birçok yeniliğe ve aile içi ilişkilerde değişikliğe neden olur. Özel gereksinimli çocuğa sahip olmak ise hem anneleri hem de babaları psikolojik açıdan fazlaca etkilemektedir. Aileler için özel gereksinime uyum süreci oldukça zorlayıcı bir süreç olabilir ve bu nedenle psikolojik problemler yaşayabilirler. Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, özel gereksinimli çocuğa sahip ebeveynlerin depresif belirti düzeyinin yordanmasında psikolojik dayanıklılık ve kolektivist başa çıkma stillerinin rolünü incelemektir. Bununla beraber ebeveynlerin depresif belirti düzeyleri ile çocukların özel gereksinim türü, ailenin gelir düzeyi, psikolojik yardım alma durumu, özel gereksinimli çocuk sayısı ve ebeveynin cinsiyeti gibi değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiler de incelenmiştir. Çalışma nicel yaklaşım dahilinde ilişkisel araştırma yöntemi kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemi Trabzon ili sınırları içerisinde yaşayan, en az bir tane özel gereksinimli çocuğa sahip olan 157 ebeveynden ( Anne=102, Baba=55) oluşmaktadır. Çalışmanın verileri araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Beck Depresyon Ölçeği, Psikolojik Dayanıklılık Ölçeği, Kolektivist Başa Çıkma Stilleri Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Yapılan çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizi sonucunda psikolojik dayanıklılık ve kolektivist başa çıkma stillerinin alt boyutlarından olan“kaçınma ve ayrışma”, ebeveyn cinsiyeti, özel gereksinimli çocuk sayısı, profesyonel psikolojik yardım alma değişkenlerinin anlamlı yordayıcılar olduğu bulunmuştur. Ebeveynlerin depresif belirti düzeylerinde, ailenin gelir düzeyine göre anlamlı fark bulunmazken, çocukların özel gereksinim türüne göre anlamlı farklılık olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre; özel gereksinimli çocuğa sahip ebeveynlerin bireysel kaynaklarının güçlendirilmesine dönük psikolojik ve sosyal müdahalelerin depresif belirtileri azaltabileceği değerlendirilmektedir.

The child is both, a source of joy and happiness and has a meaning of new hopes and dreams for the family. The birth of the child leads to many advancements within the family and changes in family relations. Having a child with special needs affects both mothers and fathers psychologically. The process of adaptation to special needs for families may be a very challenging; therefore, they may experience psychological problems. The main aim of this study is to investigate the role of psychological resilience and collectivist coping styles in predicting the level of depressive symptoms of parents who have children with special needs. At the same time, the relations between parents' depressive symptom levels and the type of special needs of children, family income level, psychological help status, number of children with special needs and gender of the parent were also investigated. The study was conducted using relational research method within the quantitative approach. The sampling of the study consists of 157 parents (102 mothers and 55 fathers) having at least one child with special needs and living in the province of Trabzon. The data of the study were collected by using Personal Information Form which was developed by the researcher, Beck Depression Scale, Psychological Resilience Scale and Collective Coping Styles Scale. As a result of multiple linear regression analysis“Avoidance and Detachment”which is one of the sub-dimensions of collectivist coping styles and psychological resilience was found to be significant predictors of parental gender, number of children with special needs and professional psychological help variables. While there was no significant difference in the parents' depressive symptom levels according to the family income level, it was determined that there was a significant difference according to the type of special needs of the children. According to the result of this study, it is considered that psychological and social interventions aimed at strengthening the individual resources of parents having children with special needs may decrease depressive symptoms.
