Özet
Tarihsel ve toplumsal bir olgu olan ekolojik krizin en temel sebeplerinden birisi insanın doğaya araçsal bir değer atfetmesi nedeniyle dünyamıza ve barındırdığı ekosisteme yönelik etik bir sorumluluk geliştirememesidir. Bu çalışma, bireylerin kişisel çıkarları ve doğanın korunması arasında etik bir ikilem yaşadıkları ve bunun da ekolojik krize yanıt verme çabalarını olumsuz etkileyen tutarsızlık sorununa yol açtığı temel varsayımına dayanmaktadır. Bu varsayım doğrultusunda ekolojik söyleme sahip Cittaslow üyesi kentlerle henüz üye olmayan kentlerde yaşayan bireylerin; değer yönelimleri, çevresel tutumları ve davranışları ile bunların karşılıklı ilişkilerini incelemektedir. Araştırma kapsamında üç ölçekten (De Groot ve Steg'in önermiş olduğu“Kısa Değerler Ölçeği”; Dunlap ve arkadaşları tarafından 2000 yılında revize edilen“Yeni Ekolojik Paradigma (NEP) Ölçeği; Florian Kaiser'in ”Genel Ekolojik Davranış Ölçeği") faydalanılarak bir anket formu hazırlanmıştır. Analizler sonucunda araştırmanın temel problemini oluşturan tutarsızlığın, her iki kentte de sürdürülebilirlik için engel oluşturmayacak derecede düşük olduğu belirlenmiştir. Cittaslow üyeliği nedeniyle Perşembe'de tutarsızlığın daha düşük olacağı varsayımı ise onaylanmamıştır. Bununla birlikte, her iki kentte de Yeni Ekolojik Paradigmanın (NEP) ve çevresel davranışların orta düzeyde onaylandığı tespit edilmiştir.

One of the most fundamental reasons for ecological crisis which is a historical and social phenomenon is the failure of human being to develop ethical responsibility toward our world and the ecosystem it houses since the human being attributes an instrumental value to the nature. This paper is based on the fundamental assumption that individuals experience an ethical dilemma between their personal interests and protection of the nature and this leads to the problem of inconsistency which adversely affects the efforts of responding to ecological crisis. The paper discusses on the basis of this assumption the value tendencies, environmental attitudes and behaviors of individuals who live in the cities which are member of Cittaslow with ecological discourse and in the cities which are not member yet and mutual relations of them. A survey form was prepared within the scope of the research using three scales (the“Short Values Scale”that De Groot and Steg suggests; the“New Ecological Paradigm (NEP) Scale”revised by Dunlap et al. in 2000; and Florian Kaiser's“General Ecological Behavior Scale”). It has been detected as a consequence of the analyses that the inconsistency which constitutes the basic problem of the research was so low in both cities that it could not prevent sustainability. On the other the assumption that inconsistency would be lower in Perşembe because of Cittaslow membership was not approved. Nevertheless it has been detected that the New Ecological Paradigm (NEP) and environmental behaviors had been approved at medium level in both cities.
