SEMANTIC COMPARISION OF CHINESE AND TURKISH In accordance with linguistics researches, Turkish is a language that has been able to put forward its being meaningful development process within its history that began in the 8th Century. Chinese with its 5000 years of history, is one of the oldest languages. Pursuant to the researchers in Turkish semantic, the oldest essay according to history, is“Divanü Lugat-it Türk”, which was written by Turkish linguistics Kaşgarh Mahmut between 1072 - 1074, which contained 7500 Turkish words, in accordance with Chinese semantic researchers,“Er- Ya”, is the first glossary that explains objects and the meaning of the words. It is an essay written by Xu Chen during“Shuo Wen Jie Zi”, East Khan period in 121. This is an essay where the words have been examined systemaically in accordance with their relation with form, meaningfulness and different sound structures. The objective of this thesis study, is to examine Chinese and Turkish as regard to semantic in equal period. With priority, the explanation ways in both of the languages and explanatory samples have been given. Thus it has been tried to put forward the explanation richness of Chinese and Turkish a concrete way. 176
