Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Ters Yüz Sınıf Modelinin 6. Sınıf öğrencilerin Vücudumuzdaki Sistemler ünitesinde Fen Bilimleri dersi tutumları, akademik başarıları ve 21. yüzyıl becerilerine etkisini araştırmaktır. Ters Yüz Sınıf modeli, öğrencilerin ders öncesinde videolarla kendi öğrenme hızlarında konuyu öğrenmeleri, sınıfta ise etkinliklerle konuyu pekiştirmeleri temeline dayanan bir modeldir. Çalışma 2022-2023 eğitim öğretim yılında İstanbul'da bulunan bir devlet okulunda öğrenim gören 6. Sınıf öğrencileriyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada, iki deney grubu (n=29) bir kontrol grubu (n=18) ile deney yapılmıştır. Deney grubuna Ters Yüz Sınıf modeli uygulanmış, öğrencilerin EBA konu videoları ile dersten önce konuyu öğrenmeleri, sınıf içinde yapılan çeşitli etkinliklerle konunun pekişmeleri sağlanmıştır. Kontrol grubuna mevcut programa uygun öğretim gerçekleştirilmiş, ev ödevleri ile konuyu pekiştirmeleri sağlanmıştır. Araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ön test son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri, Vücudumuzdaki Sistemler Akademik Başarı Testi, Fen Bilimleri Dersi Tutum Ölçeği, 21. Yüzyıl Becerileri Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel verileri SPSS 25,0 istatistik programı ile tek faktörlü kovaryans analizi ile elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda grupların akademik başarıları incelendiğinde deney grupları lehine anlamlı bir fark çıkmıştır. Aynı zamanda Ters Yüz Sınıf modelinin öğrencilerin 21. yüzyıl becerilerini geliştirdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Fakat grupların Fen Bilimleri dersi tutumları analiz edildiğinde kontrol grubu lehine anlamlı bir fark çıktığı görülmüştür. Ters Yüz Sınıf modelinin etkili olabilmesi için öğrencilerin videoları izleyip konuyu öğrenerek derse gelmesi gerekmektedir. 6. Sınıflarda araştırmanın başarılı olması için araştırmacının süreci sıkı takip etmesi gerekmektedir. Bu sebeple üst sınıflarda çalışma yapılması önerilmektedir.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the Flipped Classroom Model on 6th Grade students' academic success in the Systems in Our Body unit, their attitudes towards Science course, and their 21st century Skills. The Flipped Classroom model is a model based on the principle that students learn the subject at their own pace with videos before the lesson, and reinforce the subject with activities in the classroom. The study was conducted with 6th grade students studying at a public school in Istanbul in the 2022-2023 academic year. In the study, an experiment was conducted with two experimental groups (n = 29) and a control group (n = 18). The Flipped Classroom model was applied to the experimental group, and students were enabled to learn the subject before the course with EBA subject videos and to reinforce the subject with various activities held in the classroom. The control group was taught in accordance with the current program, and they were helped to reinforce the subject with homework. Pretest-posttest control group design was used in the research. The data of the research were collected by the Systems in Our Body Academic Achievement Test, Science Course Attitude Scale, 21st Century Skills Scale. The data obtained in the research were analyzed with the SPSS 25.0 statistical program. Single-factor analysis of covariance was used to analyze the data. As a result of the research, when the academic achievements of the groups were examined, a significant difference emerged in favor of the experimental groups. At the same time, it was concluded that the Flipped Classroom model improved students' 21st Century skills. However, when the groups' attitudes towards Science course were analyzed, it was seen that there was a significant difference in favor of the control group. In order for the Flipped Classroom model to be effective, students must come to class by watching the videos and learning the subject. In order for the research to be successful in 6th grades, the researcher must follow the process closely. For this reason, it is recommended to study in upper grades.
