Özet
Çalışmanın amacı, Türk Eğitim Vakfı'nın kurulduğu günden bugüne eğitime yaptığı katkıları ortaya koymaktır.Çalışmanın yöntemi, tarihsel yöntemdir. Araştırma kapsamındaki dokümanlar, Vakfın kendisinden temin edilmiştir. Sağlanan kitap ve dergilerin dışında, Vakıf yöneticileri ile yarı- yapılandırılmış mülakatlar yapılmış, bursiyer seçimlerine gözlemci olarak katılım izni sağlanmıştır.Çalışma kapsamında Vakfın tarihçesi; amaç, ilke ve kuralları; örgüt yapısı; şubeleri ve onların çalışmaları; faaliyetleri; mal varlığı ve gelir kaynakları; eğitim tesisleri; projeleri; düzenledikleri yarışmalar ile gelecek planlarına yer verilmiştir. Vakfın faaliyetleri içerisinde yer alan burs çeşitlerine, bursların verilme koşullarına, başarılı bursiyerlere verdikleri ödüllerden ayrıntılı olarak değinilmiştir.Sonuç olarak, Vakfın Cumhuriyet tarihinde eğitimde fırsat eşitliğini sağlamak adına kuruluşundan bugüne titizlikle uyguladığı ilkeleri doğrultusunda çalıştığı anlaşılmıştır.

The purpose of this study is to set forth the contributions made to the education by the Turkish Foundation of Education since the date of its establishment.The method of study is the historical method. The documents within the scope of study have been acquired from the Foundation. Apart from the books and periodicals that have been acquired, semi-structured interviews were made with the executives of the Foundation and the permission to attend to the process of selecting the scholars as observer.The background, purpose, principles and rules, organizational structure, branch offices and their operations, activities, assets and sources of income, educational facilities, projects and the contests organized and future plans of the Foundation are given within the scope of this study. The types of scholarships, the conditions for granting the scholarship and the prizes awarded to the successful scholars are mentioned in detail as among the activities of the Foundation.In conclusion, it is revealed that the Foundation has acted according to the principles that it has implemented carefully so far since the date of its establishment in order to ensure equality of opportunity in education in the history of Republic.
